My name is Kristin Barber, and I am the principal at Northeast Elementary, and I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families within our community. I grew up in Ankeny and have 17 years of experience in education. I was previously a principal in the Ames Community School District. The Northeast learning community is a committed family that welcomes, challenges, inspires, and supports all learners. As a Leader in Me school, our students learn and apply the 7 Franklin Covey leadership habits within their classrooms, school, and our community.
